Breakfast Beer

Boy do I love me some Professor Fritz 1809 Berliner Weisse with breakfast. Forget the mimosas. Beliner Weisse is a great beer to pair with an omelet, pancakes, or waffles. A little fruit on the side and that's how I will start each day in heaven. I prepared scrambled eggs with Boars Head bacon, sausage from our meat case, and avocado. Great way to start your Sunday and at only 5% abv, this won't cloud your head.

Weihenstephaner Vitus and Gnocchi. A great pair. The richness of the gnocchi complements the crispness of the Vitus. There are lots of flavors in this brew. Bananas, some nuttiness, and a little clove. None of which are too overbearing or take away from the dish.The dry finish of this Weizenbock begs my palate to add more gnocchi. Dumplings and a German Weizenbock? A no-brainer.
